Dave (a.k.a Dr. Octavius Brine) is the main antagonist of Penguins of Madagascar: The Movie.
History
Dave was originally one of the star attractions of the Central Park Zoo, until Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private arrived and stole his fame with their cuteness, causing him to be roughly removed from his home. Afterwards, Dave was shipped from zoo to zoo only to have his fame stolen by other penguins. Because of this, he becomes embittered and seeks revenge on the penguin species, becoming a mad scientist in the process.
Personality
He is quite jealous of the penguins because he is always being overthrown by penguins. He has a type of revenge spirit for when he says I got to do some shopping, FOR REVENGE! he seems to have a type of villain spirit in him. He is also shown to be very poor in computers, for example when he called North Wind Headquarters and had problems turning on his mike, and putting his camera on and hanging up. Like Dr. Blowhole he has a hatred of the penguins but unlike Blowhole Dave doesn't seem to have any hatred for the humans.
Abilities
Dave like all octopuses has the ability to disguise himself. Dave disguised himself as a vending machine in order to capture Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private. He usually disguises himself as the geneticist Dr. Octavius Brine. Like Dr. Blowhole he is extremely intelligence. He was also able to hack into North Wind's computer systems.
Dave's Inventions
- Medusa Serum- Serum that mutates anything into horrible monsters. Can be neutralized by something cute.
- Dave's Ray- Fires the medusa serum to mutate penguins. Later it's captured and detained by the penguins in order to revert Private void of his horns.
