• The penguins credo is "never swim alone". This credo was first mentioned in The Madagascar Penguins in A Christmas Caper, which comes with certain editions of the Madagascar movie DVD.
• The zoo shop now has cups with King Julien's head on them with a crazy-straw.
• Skipper use the Corkscrew movement to beat The Rat King.
• Kowalski calls The Rat King a "mutated rodent warlord"
• This is the first appearance of the sewer rats, the Rat King and the rattlesnake.
• King Julien has a spare crown.
• Absentees: The chimpanzees (Phil and Mason) and Alice.
• Running Gag: Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico tried to get King Julien's crown back from Rat King/Sewer Rats.

On the third scene Maurice goes to the penguin's base the outside doesn't have a hole and the feeding dish too.
